Do you ever get bored of breakfast food? I certainly do. Eggs tend to bother my stomach and are not friendly to you authentic vegan readers. Cold cereal can either be a bore or super sweet. The conventional oatmeal [i.e. stirring it in a pot] is not conducive to my schedule when I'm in a rush. And sometimes I just don't want a juice or smoothie right when I wake up. That's why this oatmeal is great for lazy mornings that still require a balanced breakfast.
1 packet of Trader Joe's Maple and Brown Sugar Naturally Flavored Instant Oatmeal
1/2 cup organic blackberries
1/4 cup shaved almonds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
A bit of unsweetened vanilla coconut milk
That's it! It takes about 5 minutes to make...so you're still out the door on schedule and feeling great!
