As you might remember from our earlier post, CBD oil is a non-psychoactive compound that does not give you the “high” that traditional weed, when smoked or ingested, provides. With that being said, CBD is still a natural relaxant, with calming and even anticonvulsant effects. When combined with THC, CBD will eliminate side effects like paranoia sometimes experienced under a THC-induced high.
Research continues to suggest that CBD, or Cannabidiol, is the compound most responsible for the health benefits touted by medical marijuana.
Here are just a few of the conditions that CBD can help treat:
Cigarette Addiction
In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, participants that smoked CBD inhalers (as opposed to those that smoked cigarettes) experienced a 40 decrease in the amount of cigarettes they smoked.
Acne
According to a study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation and the National Institute of Health, CBD proved a promising treatment for acne by inhibiting the inflammation and lipid synthesis in the sebaceous glands associated with acne.
Fibromyalgia
A 2011 study of Fibromyalgia sufferers, showed that ½ of the patients treated with CBD (as opposed to ½ treated with other traditional methods of treatment, like strong medications) experienced a greater reduction in pain than those traditionally treated.
PTSD
The antipsychotic, anti-inflammatory benefits of CBD oil have limited the amount of stress, anxiety, and haunting thoughts, to which many victims of PTSD suffer. PTSD has proven to be a wonderful treatment plan for our vets.
Crohn’s Disease
The combination of CBD and THC is believed to eliminate inflammation and provide calming to those suffering with GI issues or diseases, including Crohn’s Disease.
In addition to the above conditions, CBD also has promising health benefits for those suffering with Diabetes (about 29 million people in U.S.), Insomnia and Schizophrenia.
The conditions that CBD treats seems to be mounting, as does the evidence proving its medical efficacy.
A safe, natural medical treatment that can cure nearly all diseases, and even assist with withdrawal, without the side effects or need to get a prescription from the doctor?
It sounds good to be true right?
That’s what I thought...until I started taking CBDs as my supplement of choice regularly.
From taking the drops or the oil sublingually, to taking a supplement with a higher dosage of CBD when I’m feeling run-down, I’ve seen vast improvements in my health since using CBDs. It’s also enabled me to stop taking many of the medications that I was on to help control the symptoms associated with my autoimmune condition (as well as the symptoms produced by side effects of all of the medications!)
While CBD is now legal in all 50 states, and the amount of states legalizing medical marijuana is on the rise, it’s still important to assure that the products you’re purchasing are undergoing serious testing for quality assurance. We all know that “natural” doesn’t always mean natural. That’s why I purchase my CBDs from the first legal purveyor on the island, who sells on the highest-quality products that have been rigorously tested for safety: CBD Oils of Long Island.
How do you know CBD Oils of Long Island’s products are safe?
Using CO2 extraction, these products are free from harmful chemicals can occur as the results of less conscious extraction methods, like butane. Plus, their supplements are non-GMO and safe for those with food allergies, sensitivities or preferences, with all supplements being vegan and gluten-free.
How can you take CBDs?
You can vape CBD oil (using a vaping device), take it sublingually (on or under the tongue) or you can ingest it in capsule form, as you would a daily vitamin. My preference is taking the oils sublingually, as it’s quick and easy when I’m on the go -- plus, I actually like the taste! The oils come in a variety of flavors; my favorite is called 'The Hamptons' (pictured below, which you can also vape.) It tastes delicious - and you’ll feel warm, chill and relaxed, like you just spent a day, well...at the beach.

And, I know I’m not alone in my quest for better, more natural solutions for those of us that suffer with diseases or chronic, even life-threatening conditions.
So, I want to hear YOUR story.
Send me an email (christina@the-clean-method.com) personally with your story or feel free to comment below with answers to any of the following questions and/or anecdotes/suggestions:

Is there anything you don’t like about CBDs?
Have other, perhaps - less natural, treatments failed you?
