There are a lot of suggestions out there regarding how long you should hold this position. Personally, I sit for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds and repeat 3 times.
To get your glutes shaking without becoming bored out of your mind, you'll need some sort of entertainment. Here are some TCM suggestions:
1. Read a book or magazine.
Flipping through SELF or Women's Health and seeing picture of in-shape women always motivates me to try a little harder.
2. Brush your teeth.
Many of us have busy schedules that don't allow us to exercise as much as we would like. We must take advantage of this and squeeze in effective moves whenever and wherever we can! And we all need to brush our teeth (2 x daily.)
3. Watch television.
Even three minutes can make a difference in your Orange is the New Black catch-up sesh.
4. Social media saves the day.
Lucky for us checking our social feeds is as easy a scroll. No extra cals exerted.
5. Do your nails.
I know this seems impossible but it's not. We all know the importance of multitasking in today's fast-paced society and no lady likes being without a fresh manicure.
Want to make it extra challenging? Add a medicine ball like Anna Kournikova does! Another trick? Extend your knee and hold your leg up at a 90 degree angle to your body and parallel to the floor.
