A legacy brand, Chantecaille was founded by Sylvie Chantecaille and has since become a full-fledged familial operation. The brand employs advanced technologies alongside centuries-old skincare traditions to create health-enhancing products, known for their uniquely high concentration of natural botanicals. The company uses the healing properties of plants to create products that reduce inflammation, an otherwise scientifically proven driver of early aging.
In addition to their luxurious fragrances and textures, I love the fact that the formulation of Chantecaille products required no animal testing. Additionally, nearly all of the brand products are paraben, gluten and soy-free, making them ideal for myself and those of us that are all around sensitive.
Thus far, I've been very satisfied with the quality of Chantecaille products and the results I've seen. Of all the products I've thus far tested, below are the ones I'd be most apt to use regularly:
Chantecaille Flower Infused Cleaning Milk [vegan friendly]
How it feels when applied: like pouring a warm glass of milk over your face
What it's good for: leaving your skin soft & supple, without stripping it of its natural oils
What magical ingredients are inside: Mallow & Chamomile, which work together to reduce inflammation, Blue Cornflower which makes the skin appear more luminous [particularly around the eye area] & Vitamin B5, which helps the skin retain its natural moisture balance
Chantecaille Retinol Intense [contains soy]
How it feels when applied: as if a dense, overnight cream and a lighter, daytime serum united
What it's good for: fighting fine lines, deeper wrinkles and acne
What magical ingredients are inside: in addition to Retinol, which stimulates cellular rejuvenation, this product contains Jojoba Seed & Macadamia Nut oils to protect skin from dehydration, Evening Primrose Oil to moisturize it and Mallow to reduce irritation
[Disclaimer: this product causes light peeling, as typical of Retinoids]
Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask
How it feels when applied: like a cool mask
What it's good for: quelling chapped/irritated skin
What magical ingredients are inside: Jasmine Flower, which helps stimulate cellular renewal, and Lily Bulb, which helps soften, moisturize and soothe inflamed skin
Chantecaille Bamboo and Hibiscus Exfoliating Cream
How it feels when applied: like a thick cream with some coarse particles in it
What it's good for: clearing away superficial dead skin through a gentle exfoliation
What magical ingredients are inside: Bamboo Powder gently removes impurities while the high levels of Pyruvic acids, inherent to Hibiscus Flower, promotes collagen synthesis
Chantecaille Nano Gold Energizing Eye Cream [vegan friendly]
What it feels like: dense & creamy, but not over oily
What it's good for: dehydrated and/or seemingly aging skin around the eyes
What magical ingredients are inside: 24 Karat Gold, Silk & Alpine Skullcap/Elderflower Extract bind together to create an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory energizing formula, that makes skin around the eyes appear more youthful & supple
